Proxxon Micro Planer DH 40, overall size 11 by 9 by 9-1/2 inches; 17.6 pounds. Excellent machine for fine planing work with a particularly smooth finish for hardwood and softwood work pieces. Perfect size unit for all kinds of applications where precision to a fraction of a millimeter is needed. The unit load bearing components are all made of die cast aluminum with milled seats for bearings and spindles. This is essential for vibration free, smooth and clean planing with maximum stability. The triple spindled table is milled to close tolerances and can be conveniently adjusted to 0.1 millimeter (0.008 inch) by a large zero adjustable hand wheel. The cutter shaft has two high speed steel reversible cutters for a very long service life. The cutters are easy to change by means of a large size service flap. Planer has an automatic feed unit. The work piece is only pushed by hand into the feed slot for a short distance. After passing the cutter shaft, the piece of wood is pushed out at rear by a rubber coated roller to protect the work piece.
